Seminar on Advances in digital x-ray imaging

Seminar on Advances in Digital x-ray imaging
22nd October, 2013

Venue:
John F Welch Technology Center
122, EPIP, Whitefield Road
Bangalore, Karnataka
Background

Digital radiography applications are growing in the field of non-destructive evaluation. It offers many advantages over film radiography. Demand to meet high productivity and need for reducing plant shutdown time have forced industries to look for alternative NDE technologies which can reduce inspection cycle time. Digital radiography offers easier work flow environment as compared to conventional film based radiography. Digital Detectors Arrays (DDA) and Computed Radiography (CR) has been implemented by many industries and research establishments such as BHEL, IGCAR, BARC, NFC, Thermax, and L&T over the years. This seminar is intended to bring all the industries, manufacturers of digital systems and research institutes together and discuss on benefits and challenges faced by industries in implementing digital radiography in shop floors.

Electromagnetic - Eddy Current testing Level II training & certification courses starts on 04th October 2013 at Trinity NDT, India

Trinity NDT Eddy Current Inspection/testing Facility and Equipment
Eddy Current training Schedule at Trinity NDT Bangalore India
NDT allows parts and materials to be inspected and measured without damaging them. Because it allows inspection without interfering with a product's final use, NDT provides an excellent balance between quality control and cost-effectiveness.

Introduction to Eddy Current testing

Eddycurrent inspection is one of several NDT methods that use the principal of “electromagnetism” as the basis for conducting examinations. Eddy currents are created through a process called electromagnetic induction. When alternating current is applied to the conductor, such as copper wire, a magnetic field develops in and around the conductor. If another electrical conductor is brought into the close proximity to this changing magnetic field, current will be induced in this second conductor
